Reindeer Food

(original post last year from Jenn)

"A magic food for Santa's reindeer on a dark Christmas night, with special moon dust sprinkled in, to help them on their flight".

For children, Christmas is magical- Santa and his reindeer, stockings filled, cookies for Santa, and presents appear Christmas morning.

Reindeer food is a way to make it even more special. Have your kids sprinkle it on your front lawn or around the front of your house. You may even choose to leave a bowl where the reindeer can get to it. The sparkle of the glitter will guide them to your home. Santa gets his cookies and his reindeer will have a treat too. This will help to give the them the extra energy that they need to deliver the rest of the toys!

The ingredients are simple- mix oats with glitter, holiday sprinkles, and whatever else you can think of.

Make and share reindeer food with children you know. Teachers, this is a great treat to send home with your students on the last day before Winter Break. Simply fill your desired container with the oat mixture, then download and attach TFC's cute printable! I found the small brown gift bags, twine, and jingle bells at Hobby Lobby

Enjoy and spread the magic!

(It's set up as a 8.5x11 so you can print and cut out the card that tickles your fancy - 4 to choose from!)

Juice, Juice, Baby!

Well, it's that time year. You have to put on a bathing suit and then actually wear it in front of other people. For some gals, this isn't so much of a concern. For me it's terrifying! I'm still eating paleo-ish and I've lost 20lbs, but I'm still 10-15lbs away from prime swimsuit wearing. I'm 25 days away from an appearance in Lake Tahoe and it's time to get down to business. The business of juicing that is! I will be drinking my meals for the next 25 days.

I have looked into juicing detox programs and they're just way too exspensive. However, one of these jucing companies puts their ingredients on the bottle. I've been eyeballing the ingredients to suit my palette and I've been pleased with the taste and results so far. When I perfect each recipe, I will share them with you. I also don't have a juicer, so they're more like smoothies, but I try to break it down as much as possible.

Have you guys tried jucing? I'd love to hear your personal experiences and recipes!

The First Year - The Book

Happy Monday! Over the weekend the Artifact Uprising book I order showed up on my doorstep. I've been working on this book since my son was born and it felt wonderful to finally have the finished product in my hands. The Artifact Uprising site was extremely easy to use and I'm very satisfied with my experience. I went ahead and ordered a book for all the grandparents as a surprise! Take a peek...

My dear friend Shannon is an amazing person and an amazing photographer. A really, really, really long time ago... like years ago, she asked me if I would redesign her logo. I finally got around to it. Here is the before and after. Cards are in the works and will be shared soon too!
