WALL MAKEOVER: Wall 1

I am an Art Director. I went to school for Graphic Design. I could spend all day on THIS website...or THIS website. So why have I left my daughter’s room looking like the inside of a prison? The poor kid even took some stickers and spruced up her walls because Lord knows I haven’t put anything up. I guess I was hoping she would be into my signed SHEPARD FAIREY collector’s prints...she’s not there yet. Whatever, she will thank me when SID VICIOUS pays for some of her college.

But, she is into her own artwork. And I have a ton of it. You parents know what I am talking about. It’s on the kitchen table, it’s in the office, it's in the car and bathroom and boxes...it’s EVERYWHERE. So let’s kill two birds with one stone. Let’s decorate the shit out of a wall and get organized at the same time:

This took less than an hour, cost under $20 bucks, and did little damage to the walls. Target has an amazingly colourful selection of binder clips. Besides the cost and amount of time...Sophie loves it. She was able to help us with the project by picking out all her favorite pieces. This took longer than anything else. What's great is it's an ongoing, interactive piece...new drawings go up, old drawings go in the storage box. The smile on her face when she stands back and looks at her artwork on the wall is priceless.
