Melt free Make-Up for Summer

Seeing as this is my first blog entry, I figured that I’d write about what I know, and what I know is the beauty business! Since summer is right around the corner, I wanted to share the best melt-free beauty products on the market, today.

The newest fad in cosmetics is BB Creams – standing for “Beauty Balm," or “Blemish Balm”. It’s a moisturizer, primer, foundation, and sunblock all in one product. Most of them offer broad spectrum UVA and UVB protection. They are also made to be transfer, and sweat resistant, so they are perfect for the warmer, summer months. My favorite, is Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream SPF 35. A five-in-one set secret for achieving flawless skin on camera and beyond.

Water resistant, and smudge proof mascaras are also in high demand during the summer months. I recommend water resistant mascaras over waterproof, because waterproof mascaras are generally very hard to remove, and you can damage your lashes trying to get it off. My favorite mascara is “They’re Real" from Benefit. Not only does it lengthen, thicken, curl, and separate your lashes, but it’s smudge proof and will not smear. It also just acquired the top spot and became #1 selling mascara in the world! I like to call it "the push-up bra for your lashes." It gives you that great "Out to here" look.

The last thing I recommend for summer makeup is lip and cheek stain. These are wonderful multi-tasking products that resist makeup meltdown, and they are very easy to apply. Right now, mango and tangerine hues are in, so consider trying Cha Cha Tint from Benefit. It’s a mango-colored lip and cheek stain that will survive the most brutal summer day.

Sephora descibes it like this. “This mango-tinted stain beautifully blushes lips and cheeks with a tropical sunset hue. Smooch-proof and smudge-proof, this sheer stain will have you looking deliciously sun-kissed for hours.”

Enjoy.
